Domestic Abuse and Family Court Workshop - B&NES, November 2025
I have been invited to deliver a workshop at the BANES Domestic Abuse Partnership Event in November. I will be delivering this workshop to a number of professional along with Cathryn Blyth, service lead at Voices and chair of the LFJB DA Advisory in Avon & Somerset.

DASV Provider Forum - Devon & Cornwall
I have been invited to join the DASV provider forum in the South West. This group is dedicated to improving the service to victim/survivors across the South West and multi agency working. I am delighted to be able to contribute to this and share ideas for best practice as well as support for victim/survivors through family court.
MOJ Presentation - DA Advisory Groups
I was delighted to be able to present to over 40 delegates at the MoJ presentation on Monday 13th October. I was able to share with colleagues the work that we do at the DA Advisory Group in Avon & Somerset as well as the Family Court Working Group in Hereford & Worcester in a bit to promote a collaborative approach across a number of LFJB’s and how we can provide a more consistent approach to dealing with domestic abuse in Family Court.
FREE Coercive Control Webinar
I presented at a webinar on the topic of coercive control on the 16th October 2025. I spoke alongside the wonderful Fleur Buechler (Barnados), Samantha Billingham (Stronger Beginnings), Professor Marianne Hester (University of Bristol), and Marcie Hyde (42 Bedford Row).
PEEPSA Legal Clinic - October 2025
Haworth Family Law has launched a clinic with PEEPSA, an organisation that helps people suffering from post separation abuse. Service users of PEEPSA can book in via the website.
APDAWG Event - Ruby’s Law, October 2025
I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to give evidence in Parliament in support of Ruby’s Law. The meeting room in Parliament was filled with over 100 delegated including MP and policy makers. I remain hopeful that positive change can be made in Family Law to include animals and pets within Family Law injunctions.
FINALIST - Herefordshire Means Business Awards 2025

DA and Disability Group - Avon & Somerset
I have recently joined the Avon & Somerset Domestic Abuse and Disability Group to work with other local professionals on how we can help tackle issues of domestic abuse and disabled victims - including to improve their access to support. This ground was founded and is run by the wonderful Thalia Gilligan from VANS.
Hereford & Worcester Family Court Working Group
I am delighted to have been asked to join the local Family Court Working Group to see how we can improve the experiences for victims of Domestic Abuse in Family Court in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Expert Research Panel Member
I am thrilled to have been asked to become part of the expert research panel for some research on pet abuse and domestic abuse taking place at Bristol University and commissioned by DEFRA. This research is being done by the fantastic Mary Wakeham, founder of Refuge 4 Pets.

Training for Avon & Somerset Police
In July 2025, the wonderful Amy Finnimore - trauma informed practitioner - and I delivered training to officers all over the UK through Avon & Somerset police on domestic abuse and the Family Court.
AJ Bell Bristol 10k for Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Assault Service (SARSAS)
In May 2025, I ran the Bristol AJ Bell 10k to raise funds for SARSAS. I also do regular fundraising for St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford, and Help for Heroes.
LFJB DA Advisory Group panel discussion at the LFJB Conference
I sit on the LFJB DA Advisory Group for Avon & Somerset where we work to improve the Family Court’s response to domestic abuse victims. I was invited to speak on the DA Advisory panel at the LFJB conference held at UWE in May 2025 where I was delighted to hear from HHJ Cope (the presiding Family Judge for Avon & Somerset) and Dame Nicole Jacobs (Domestic Abuse Commissioner).
LFJB DA Advisory Group Court Guide release
This December, to mark the end of the 16 days of activism against gender based violence, we launched a court guide for users of the Family Court who were victims of domestic abuse and litigants in person. You can access this guide through my resources page.
Herefordshire Council Domestic Abuse Strategy 2021-2024
I was able to feed in to Herefordshire Council’s Domestic Abuse Strategy for 2021-2024 via my work with West Mercia Women’s Aid (WMWA) along with the CEO of WMWA. I shared my views on the impact of domestic abuse on mental health and how better resources were needed for victim/survivors.
Appearance on BBC Midlands Today to raise awareness of domestic abuse in rural communities
I was lucky enough to appear on BBC Midlands Today to discuss difficulties in accessing services when reporting domestic abuse in rural communities. This also tied in to the release of the short film “The Willows” produced by the Rural Media Company in Hereford to raise awareness.
West Mercia Women’s Aid Ask Me Ambassador
In 2020, I completed my WMWA Ask me Ambassador training. This means I am able to signpost people to agencies as well as deal with disclosures of domestic abuse in West Mercia and promote the services of WMWA.
Helping Handbags Initiative
In 2018, I began an initiative in Hereford called “Helping Handbags” where I asked people to donate unused handbags filled with sanitary products to be taken to local women’s refuges where people often fled their homes without essential items. I was blessed to be able to fill over 250 handbags with essentials for women arriving at refuge.
