Introducing…
The Animal Protection Disclosure Scheme - also known as “Arnie’s Law” -is a Parliamentary Campaign founded by Haworth Family Law & Arlifred Dogs in November 2025 and launched in January 2026.
Arnie’s Law relies on the Common Law Duty of Police Disclosure to allow police to disclose specific information on animal abuse and neglect to prevent the rehoming of animals to those with a history of animal abuse, and also prevent sales of animals from those with a history of animal abuse.
Arnie’s Law aims to:
Introduce a statutory framework to allow police to confidently be able to disclose crucial information about animal abuse and neglect to those who need this information.
Reduce the number of animals being given to people with a history of animal abuse/neglect.
Reduce the number of people buying animals from breeders or sellers who have a history of animal abuse/neglect.
